HOW UNPREDICTABLE LIFE IS


His mother was looking at him while he was in ICU, praying to Allah to give health to her son. Doctors were making continues efforts to save him. His friends with whom he spent the joyous days of his life were waiting anxiously outside the operation theater. His sister with whom he shared every secret of his life, was crying because she couldn’t see her brother in such condition. Then the doctors came out and gave the sad news that “He is no more”.

Yes, this is the story of one of my friend who passed away few days back. He was a healthy person having no medical problems at all. He had an accident few days back, went into coma and breathed his last after 3 days of accident. This is how unpredictable life is.

We spent our days ignoring the fact that tomorrow is never promised to us. We don’t even have the tiniest idea of what’s going to happen in the next moment. Almighty Allah has repeatedly reminded us this thing in Quran:

“…as compared with the life of the hereafter, the life of this world is nothing but a brief passing enjoyment” (Quran, Ar-Rad: 26).

“And the life of this world is nothing but play and amusement. But far better is the house in the hereafter for those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious). Will you not then understand?” (Quran, Al-An’aam: 32)

Imagine yourself in such situation. Ask yourself that are you are ready to meet your creator? Are you fulfilling the purpose for which Almighty has sent you to this world?

Remember, death is chasing us since the day we were born. The life of this world is nothing compared to that of hereafter. Appreciate every moment, be thankful to the Almighty that you are still breathing while there are millions of people lying in their graves.
